Just a short distance from Los Angeles is the picturesque village of Ojai. Start your day with a sunrise hike on one of the two dozen hiking paths that meander through the valley. If you’re looking for dramatic views and few crowds, consider taking the Shelf Road Trail.
After a refreshing morning hike, hit the town for shopping or for a drink at the local wine bar. While Ojai is not known for its nightlife scene, it does offer excellent dining, including a local Mediterranean restaurant that specializes in dishes made from organic produce purchased from area farmers.
