Spreading Distributive Justice through Music

Spreading Distributive Justice through Music

The Occupy Wall Street movement is quite fascinating to me. I think the lack of distributive justice in this country needs to be addressed, no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on.

In future articles I will discuss my opinions as to what I believe needs to happen in this country to destroy the disparity without destroying our foundation. The readership of this magazine, men and dads in their 30’s especially, should be attuned to what is happening. We too play a crucial role in this matter, and with many of us being parents, we must remember that the actions and changes that happen today will affect the lives of our children tomorrow.

I’m going to post some music videos periodically that speak my sentiments (and many others-the 99%) through the universal power of music. I am awed by the talented, everyday people, who are posting their inspired music on You Tube, like Mark Johnston of London-Spin on this. Not only are the lyrics great, but the songs themselves are really good!

If you or someone you know has a video of a song they wrote inspired by the Occupy Wall Street protests, feel free to contact us via the contact page with a link to the video.

Here is a song by Jeremy Gilchrist, whose voice and heart-felt lyrics blew me away!
